Step-by-Step Guide
- 1
Go to Profile → Manage Alteration Services. This is your service menu — a list of all the alteration services you offer, with prices and estimated durations.
- 2
LaceLink comes with default categories pre-loaded: Hemming, Bust, Sleeves & Straps, Bodice Work, Embellishments, Fastenings, Bustles, Repairs, and Fitting Fee. Each category contains common services with suggested prices.
- 3
To add a new service, tap the + button. Enter the service name (e.g., 'Shorten straps'), set the price in pounds, choose a category, add an optional description, and set the estimated duration (15 minutes to 8 hours).
- 4
To edit an existing service, tap on it. You can change the name, price, category, description, or duration. Tap Save when done.
- 5
Toggle a service on or off using the switch. Disabled services won't appear in the service picker when adding alterations to a client, but they're kept in your list for future use.
- 6
To create a new category, tap Add Category, type the name, and tap Save. Your new category appears in the list ready for services to be added.
- 7
To rename or delete a category, tap the ••• menu next to the category name. Deleting a category also removes all services inside it, so use with care.
- 8
To reset everything back to the defaults, tap Reset to Defaults. This replaces your current services with the built-in starter list.
- 9
Now here's where it all connects: when you add an alteration to a client's profile, tap 'Add from services' to open the service picker. It shows your enabled services grouped by category. Tap a service to auto-fill the alteration name, cost, and estimated duration — saving you from typing every time.

The estimated duration also feeds into the Planner. When you create a task linked to an alteration, the duration is pre-filled from the service, so Auto-Plan knows how much time to schedule.
