How do I create an account?

Download the LaceLink app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), or sign up on the website. Choose your account type — "Seamstress" for bridal alterations, "Boutique" for a bridal shop, or "Client" if you are a bride or customer. Enter your full name, email address, and choose a secure password.

How do I find a seamstress near me?

On this website, use the search on the home page or browse "Find Seamstresses" in the navigation. Enter a keyword (e.g. hemming, bustle, lace & beading) and your town or city. Each profile shows specialties, Google reviews when the professional has linked their Google listing, portfolio and contact options where the professional has chosen to share them. In the mobile app, use the Search tab to browse public profiles.

How do I make my profile public so brides can find me?

Open the app → Profile → Edit Profile → Public Profile → toggle "Make Profile Public" on. Once enabled, your business name, bio, specialties, skills, certifications, portfolio, reviews and contact details (as you configure them) can appear in the public marketplace on the app and website. You can turn this off at any time.

How do I add work examples to my portfolio?

Go to Profile → Work Examples / Portfolio → Add Work Example. Upload photos, add a title, description, category and completion date. Work examples appear on your public profile when it is listed.

How do clients connect with me?

Accepted Answer

Clients can find you through the marketplace and contact you from your profile. Share your SmartBook link or QR from Profile → SmartBook for new online bookings. For existing clients, share their Connection Code QR from their profile so they can link their LaceLink account.

How do I manage my brides and clients?

Use the Brides tab to see connected clients, wedding dates, dress details, measurements, appointments, payments and notes. Add clients with "+", and sort or filter by name, wedding date or status.

How do I schedule and manage appointments?

Use the Planner tab for day or week view. Create appointments with "+", choose the bride, date, time, duration, notes and location. Status stamps help track alteration progress.

How do I send appointment reminders?

When creating or editing an appointment you can notify a linked client in the app. For automated email reminders, go to SmartBook Settings → Client emails & reminders to set timing (for example 7, 3, 2 and 1 days before). LaceLink sends email, not SMS.

How do I generate an invoice?

Open Brides → select the client → Payments → Generate Invoice. You can email the invoice from the app or share the PDF. LaceLink keeps a record of invoices and payments. LaceLink does not process card payments between professionals and clients yet.

Yes. Profile → Terms & Conditions lets you customise Collection Terms and Pre-Alteration Terms. Client digital signatures are stored with a timestamp.

What payment methods can I record?

You can record Cash, Cheque, Credit Card, Debit Card, Bank Transfer, PayPal and more. Set bank and payment details under Profile → Payment Details for invoices. LaceLink does not process payments between professionals and clients.

Once connected, use the Messages tab for conversations and in-app notifications. Messaging keeps appointment and alteration discussion in one place.

Is my data backed up and secure?

Data is synced securely using Supabase, encrypted in transit and at rest, with row-level security so you access your own records. We do not sell your data to third parties.

How do I delete my account?

Profile → Account Settings (or Edit Account) → DANGER ZONE → Delete My Account. This is permanent. You can also email support@lacelink.co.uk for help with account deletion.

Can I use LaceLink on my computer?

Yes. After logging in at lacelink.co.uk/login, open the desktop web app for clients, appointments, invoicing, messaging and profile management on a larger screen.

How do I view my business analytics?

Open the Home (Dashboard) tab. You'll see key metrics such as clients, upcoming appointments and revenue. Under Export Data you can download Client Data, a Business Report, or an Accounting file as PDF or Excel / CSV.

How do I request an appointment with my seamstress?

Linked clients can request appointments from their seamstress profile via Book Appointment, choosing an open slot. The seamstress approves or declines the request.

How do I approve or decline a booking request?

Pending requests appear via notification and on the Dashboard / Booking Requests screen. Approve to add the appointment to your calendar, or decline. The system checks for conflicts before approval.

Can clients book appointments from my public profile?

Where SmartBook or appointment requests are enabled on a public profile, clients can request or book according to your settings. Availability shows open slots only — not your full private calendar.

How do I switch currency and measurements?

Open the app → Profile → Settings → Region. Choosing United Kingdom uses GBP, metric measurements and UK date formats. Choosing United States uses USD, imperial measurements (inches) and US date formatting. Existing data is displayed in the selected format. Marketplace listings on this website remain UK-focused.
